Hot dang, we are here, at the end of a long journey. I want to leave the rest of the series behind for a bit and I want to just focus on Warheart. When I ended this book my heart was torn, I was so content because of the journey and the experience, I still have those memories and I still have the nostalgia for what I gained and how it changed me and I am sad and I have a sense of bittersweet melancholy that has soaked into my pores and bones.

“Time to dance with death.”
This is it, it is the final book of the Sword of Truth series, we are seeing our adventures with Lord Richard Rahl, Mother Confessor Kahlan, Cara, Nicci and eveyone else coming to an end. We were left with the tragic events of Severed Souls and we find that the world is hanging by a thread. Emperor Sulachan, his ally Hannis Arc is marching toward the People's Palace followed by their army of the walking dead, horrible people that devour flesh, seeking a soul for themselves.
All they want to do is break the Grave that is the division between the world of the living and the world of the dead unraveling all of existence. The only person who can stop this is the bringer of death. The pebble in the pond. The Seeker of Truth. Richard Rahl. He's the only one who can end this prophecy and save what is left of mankind. But....Richard is trapped in the underworld, held by demons and Kahlan and Nicci are on a desperate race to bring him back before it's all too late.
Maybe it already is.
“Master Rahl guide us.”
This is a series that will always be close to my heart no matter how much I disliked certain books in the series.
“Master Rahl protect us.”
This book is focused on the battles between prophecy and free will, the balance between life and death and it overturned beliefs we took for granted throughout the series.
“In your light we thrive.”
Severed Souls butchered my soul until I wanted to stop the series and Warheart redeemed Severed Souls and mended the wounds although it did inflict some new wounds of its own that you had to expect. I had to let go of cherished characters, say goodbye, choke on tear, feel my hands tremble and pray that Richard and Kahlan got their happily ever after.
“In your mercy we are sheltered.”
Richard does have his crazy ideas but he holds firm to them. Kahlan is my inspiration, the Mord-Sith with their sass and overprotective instincts are the proof you can find joy in the simple things, Nicci is the example that anyone can change.
“In your wisdom we are humbled.”
Richard draws the Sword of Truth and was consumed by its righteous rage and I could always hear its metallic ring in my head and I'd feel its fury boil under my skin.
“We live only to serve.
 Our lives are yours.”
