Black Swan Rising by Lisa Brackmann

4.0

Sara Price wants a career in politics, behind the scenes, working on policy. But she becomes part of the story, when her past is revealed after a series of heinous crimes by alt-right criminals, who target the Asian-American reporter covering a rally and shoot up several other venues. Sara used to be someone else, whose life was destroyed by a cruel act during college. Casey Cheng just wants to cover the news, but her wounding creates a bond between her and Sara. #TrueMen is a movement designed to bring the alt-right back into the mainstream, but the message of hate just cannot be overcome. Well crafted plotting and good characters make this an interesting read, especially with its focus on current cybercrimes.
