After reading Garden Secrets and Lost Lake, I had high expectations for this book, but unfortunately I didn’t enjoy it as much as I wish I had. There were several plot points that weren’t explained or resolved (the scene with all the rich ladies spilling their secrets, the bell ringing when no one had entered the shop). It seemed like there were lots of ideas for this book that didn’t end up getting used. I also found the plot rather predictable, and guessed the major “plot twist” almost immediately. It was wrapped up in a neat little bow, but the ending seemed rushed, and the whole book was a little half baked.
