Gentle Writing Advice: How to Be a Writer Without Destroying Yourself by Chuck Wendig

informative inspiring lighthearted slow-paced

3.0

The advice? Gentle, and often helpful--any injunction to practice self-care, not obsess too much either over success or failure, and simply do what works best for you is bound to be (whether in writing or life in general).

The “omg-so-quirky-and-relatable” footnotes and asides? Hated them. Got old so quickly. Maybe some people will love them; I mostly tried to overlook them for the first few chapters, but the relentless onslaught of what I guess might be called millennial cringe(?) just wore me down and nearly overpowered the advice.
