What's a Girl Gotta Do? by Holly Bourne

5.0

Just thinking about this book recently. I haven’t read it in a few months but it hasn’t left my head as it’s so inspiring for teenagers and young adults specifically women. It’s written in a way that’s easy to understand and the main character is very lovable. The book follows the main character Lottie and her two best friends who have created a feminist club in which they aim to call out any sexist actions that they witness. I love this book as it gives women many different ways on how to tackle this taboo topic of sexism instead of just quietly letting it happen. The book is written in a comedic way but it also has an array of serious and important topics which a lot of women will have experienced or know someone who has experienced it in their lifetime. It shows that calling out sexist actions isn’t impossible and that men need humbled sometimes. Overall, I love this book and i recommend it to anyone.
