Camino Winds by John Grisham
4.0
Having enjoyed Camino Island, I was excited to read Camino Winds. While I enjoyed the overall storyline of the first book a little more, I felt the second book was also very good.
The small tourist island's popular bookstore, Bay Books, is owned by Bruce Cable and he is surrounded by his quirky, entertaining group of literary friends. When Hurricane Leo pounds the island, in addition to leaving behind devastating damage, one of Bruce’s writer buddies is left dead and it sure looks like murder. With the local police unable to handle this type of case, Bruce and his friends work to solve the probable crime. It doesn’t hurt that his college intern Nick Sutton is a budding mystery writer and has more insight into the case than the police.
It’s a fun, fast who-done-it. Will there be a Camino #3? I sure hope so.
