The Rooster Who Would Not Be Quiet! by Carmen Agra Deedy

4.0

Very Mexican styled coloring on pages and interestingly uses the Spanish word for rooster in the story. The plot revolves, subtly, around censorship and mistreatment; of powerful people using power for fulfilling their own wants.

I could see using this for older children for a story time with a theme of animals, bilingual or sensory (sound/singing).
