This book was absolute perfection. My emotions were all over the place; the highs were exhilarating and the lows were devastating but everything flowed so beautifully.
Miles was a fast favorite from The Heir and this book cemented that. He lived up to that preview and then some; he’s a true mastermind and THE guy to have on your side. He’s got a solution for everything and “impossible” isn’t in his vocabulary. Nothing deters him and it’s so admirable… Zoe is a lucky girl!!! Their journey from acquaintances to forbidden lovers to a full on relationship was beautiful to read. They truly deserve each other!
As for the heart-wrenching part… I didn’t expect it at all. I was in complete denial as that series of events played out, and when that time came… I had to put my phone down and stare at the wall for a few minutes just to process everything. That arc was beautifully executed but the pain was too much
