Deirdre and Desire by M.C. Beaton

3.0

Review - Deirdre was an inherently flawed young woman who made mistakes like all women do, and I didn't like the way Harry Desire managed to manipulate her into being with him. This one explored more the emotional depths of the characters - Deirdre's indecision in particular was fascinating to read as she changed her mind so often. It was also interesting to see Deirdre's view of Minerva and Annabelle and their marriages. I think Deirdre and Desire was quite an improvement on both Minerva and The Taming of Annabelle, although I didn't like the hero as much as the heroine. I felt that Deirdre and Desire was better written than the previous two.
