“Open your eyes and see what you can with them before they close forever.”
Oh my gosh. This is the book that reminds you why you love reading, that transports you, nestles inside of you, changes how you think about the world. There’s a reason we’ve all heard how great this is, why it won the Pulitzer. Absolutely one of the best books I’ve ever read. 5 stars aren’t enough. Please read this book. There is so much love in these pages. I will never forget it.
“And is it so hard to believe … that great shuttles of souls might fly about, faded but audible if you listen closely enough? … the air a library and the record of every life lived, every sentence spoken, every word transmitted still reverberating within it.”
