Killing the Witches: The Horror of Salem, Massachusetts by Martin Dugard, Bill O'Reilly

informative slow-paced

0.5

I’d say less than half of this book is actually about the Salem witch trials. It was extremely disappointing. The majority of the book is about the 13 colonies and the events leading up to the American Revolution, as well as the writing of the Constitution. However, it’s all glossed over and disconnected. Then the end jumps ahead to the story being the movie the Exorcist for no real apparent reason.

Bill O’Reilly then tries to write about “present day witch hunts” in his authors not, but really just defends the racist statements of Roseanne Barr…what?!

If you are looking to actually read about the Salem witch trials, PLEASE LOOK ELSEWHERE! Don’t waste your time with this.
