This is the latest entry in the Maggie O'Dell series, but you don't need to have read any of the othersto follow this one. (And I know that's true, because I haven't read any others.)
In this one, the main plot is about a serial killer in Florida who is dismembering people. This came to light after a cooler filled with hands (three), feet and a torso was found. Maggie's dispatched to investigate--except there's a hurricane coming.
This was an incredibly fun, but more than a little gruesome, book. If you're a fan of Alex Cross, you should consider giving Maggie O'Dell a try. :)
