i had a hard time rating this book. i liked the story if i viewed it as amateur writing, but as a published book it feels unfinished. the whole epilogue/prologue part could’ve been left out or maybe be written into a sequel. the author overexplained things rather than showing us emotions. i also couldn’t care less about sloan and carter.

all the character motivations and reasonings felt very superficial. if the story was better edited, it could’ve been a good book.
