Shut Out, by Kody Keplinger

4.0

Really enjoyed this book!
I'm quite the fan of Kody Keplinger, so I knew I'd like this one. It was less about sports than I thought it was, which is good as I'm really not into that at all. The cover is a bit misleading but most of them are now-a-days anyway.
Fast paced story, easy flow writing, and some unique, quirky characters! What I love about Kody's characters is that they're not your usual YA characters, they'll be different in some way and I always like that.
Also, the meaning behind the story is lovely, it tells us about friendships, honesty, and being comfortable with who you are and not letting people take advantage of you. Also family is important, and it's good to just be yourself.
It may seem cheesy and predictable to some people, but I'm never bothered by it. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I recommend this one, definitely. I was suffering from a book hangover from Queen of Shadows and this book was the perfect one to help me through it. Excellent.
