The Dark Tower, Volume 1: The Gunslinger Born by Peter David

This was a good adaptation. The art was beautiful. But it loses something when compared to the epic story. Even the scenes that were recreated whole cloth lost something to me in comparison to King's prose. The original work is the best, but I may check out some of the other story arcs in this series to see what tales are told.
