DNF @ 60%-ish. I remember reading the other series by this author and really liking it. Unfortunately this was not up to the same standard of the other series and was ultimately a waste of time and money.
First off, for $5 I expect there to be significantly less grammatical errors than there were. This book didn’t appear to be edited at all.
Next, I’m not sure if it’s my luck that I’m finding several books like this, or if it’s a current trend with authors, but it sucks: the multiple POVs from -everyone-. Even the had guys, the dude characters, some random nobody with no name has a POC. The worst part is the switching between without indications and you’re left going “wtf???”.
Lastly, this book wasn’t planned, organized, or thought through very well. It’s a mess with no real story. It’s mostly the FMC getting upset about dumb shit and the guy trying to figure out why. Nothing much else. Really boring and a snooze fest.
