Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? by Philip K. Dick

5.0

Rating: 5 stars

When I first read this book, I enjoyed it, finished it in a day, and gave it four stars. Then, only three weeks later I really wanted to read it again. So I did, again in a day, and again rated it four stars. Then, after holding off the urge to reread it again for months, the next year I finally gave in and read it a third time. It was only at this stage where it occurred to me that huh, I must really like this book. More than a four star rating implies. So I upgraded it to five. But to read a book that many times in less than a six month time frame, taking me a single day each time, it must be something particularly special. It was only when one of my friends on Goodreads picked it up for the first time that I realised I didn't actually like this book. I loved this book. Enough to put it on my favourites list. Now, having finished it for a fourth time (something I have done with less books than I can count on my fingers) Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? has a permanent place among my favourite books of all time.
