Harley, the female lead, has woken up in an arena after being abducted from earth, to see aliens killing each other in front of her. Vikar, the male lead, is a shifter thief who has been keeping his skills current on the spectators in the arena, when he spots the war prize and knows she is his fated mate. He quickly enlists assistance and makes a plan to break her out of her cage and takes from that planet. Harley, feeling the bond between them, agrees to stay with him as his mate.
This short story is dual POV, well written, and (by necessity) very fast paced, with a lovely instarelationship and erotic bonding
