Joseph Anton: A Memoir by Salman Rushdie

4.0

I had mixed feelings about this book- Rushdie's telling of his years in hiding after the Islamic fatwa against his life came off as a settling of scores and a chance to vent. Though that bugged me- its an incredible case for freedom of expression- and I also really enjoyed the bit about his early life and the influences on his fiction, which I have a great respect for.
