I didn't expect to like When Stars Come Out as much as I did. My favorite thing about it was the mythology, it was very thought out and I haven't read anything like it. I loved slowly discovering the magical system with the characters.

Anora and her mom move to another town to get away from horrible rumors. Anora is determined to start anew, to forget all that happened before and live her life in peace. but all that goes to shit when she sees the dead girl hanging in front of the school. When confronted with the ghost her powers take over. When she loses the precious object, it all goes horribly wrong.

It's such a complex story, full of twists and turns, mysteries and amazing powers.

I love Anora, there is such bad-assery to her. She doesn't like to be bossed around. She is untrusting to everyone but still manages to make few friends. I like the way she handled, all that happened to her. And the romance is very good. There is no insta love or straightforwardness. :)

When Stars Come Out is a start of what is going to be an amazing series (I'm sure :)). I enjoyed reading it very much.
