By the end I had a hard time liking the characters because of the plot. 
SpoilerIn order to make the relationship work between Ridge and Sydney, Hoover had to justify cheating. I think she trys to make it ok by having them hold off on sex until Ridge's relationship with Maggie ends. That said, their actions were still cheeting in my book. I would be pretty distraught if I found out my husband was doing the things Ridge was doing with Sydney with another women.
This was by far my least favorite Hoover book so far.
