“You keep asking why your work is not enough, and I don’t know how to answer that, because it is enough to exist in the world and marvel at it. You don’t need to justify that, or earn it. You are allowed to just live.”

This queer and cozy sci-fi duology is everything I never knew I wanted, and it has cemented itself as one of my favorite series of all time!

This book is for you, if you like:
🤍 A nice, warm cup of tea
🤍 Wholesome characters
🤍 Reflections on life and our purpose in it
🤍 Anti-capitalist utopias
🤍 No plot, just vibes

These novellas are truly unlike anything I have ever read! The story is primarily driven by the dialogue between Sibling Dex and Mosscap along their journey, and I adored it! They’re willing to listen to and learn from each other, and it makes for a story so full of joy and hope and, admittedly, a little bit of sadness.

I feel like the emotional impact this series had on me shaped my entire existence and my view of the world, and I know I’ll be returning to them time and time again for years to come!

TW: none?! I don’t remember anything except the existential crisis resulting from reading about a utopia I’ll never get to live in 🙃
