This is the second book in the Deadtown series and I am really enjoying these books so far. This book finds Victory "Vicky" Vaughn travelling to Wales to see her aunt (and demon slaying teacher) to find out why those she comes into contact with suddenly end up horribly murdered. Admittedly the action slows down a bit while she's there but we do learn more about Vicky's Welsh and Cerrdorian background, including some unwanted distant relatives.
My fears of an impending love triangle were unfounded as the author lays the clues early on as to which suitor Vicky's heart is leaning. By the last third of the book her heart is rewarded when said suitor shows up unexpectedly and just when she needs it. I find myself really liking this couple.
Loved the cover again. Looking forward to the next book in the series.
