too many very minor side characters that show up for a scene and are gone for no reason, but secondary characters are mostly interesting (IRIS SPIN OFF WHEN?). delilah’s character arc and growth throughout the novel, and her dynamic/story with her stepsister astrid (who doesn’t get developed almost at ALL in this book, even though her wedding is the overarching plot) is far more endearing than the central romance between delilah and claire. i mean, they barely go on *one* date. still, a funny and heartwarming and sweet easy read.
