I felt it was time for a reread of this... then I got super overstimulated and I've had a weird ass migraine the last two days, so the reading experience wasn't as fun as it could have been.
Anyway! I'm one of the people who found out about Coraline from the 2009 LAIKA movie (I feel so old, I was 15 when it was released), and then read the book some years later. I definitely think that the book is a tad more disturbing than the film. In the film things get more and more disturbing, while you can tell something is wrong from the get go in the book. Also Book Coraline doesn't seem as sold on the Other World as Film Coraline was.
A great little book which is nice to pick up for a reread from time to time.
