First, this book is WAYYYY too long….
Midnight Sun is nice in the way that it provides exactly what you’d expect - twilight from Edward’s perspective with almost no new scenes. As we knew before, Edward is fully obsessed with Bella from the minute he decides not to take her life. It’s adorable, endearing, and also a tadddd (very) creepy. The twilight series remains one of my favorite comfort series, but I don’t think I’ll feel the need to read this book again :) I’m really glad we got this retelling, though, I’ve been curious about Edward’s inner monologue for quite a while
