Vanishing Acts by Jodi Picoult

1.0

As a transition book, it met all expectations as it was a quick read that tapped into some interesting issues. However, I found most characters pretty cliched and annoying- See: the accused kidnapper is a magician (good at knowing how to make things disappear), the coincidence that all of the main characters either were alcoholics or were the children of alcoholics or some other delinquent parents, not to mention the ridiculous message that sometimes it's okay to commit adultery. So even though "My Sister's Keeper" wasn't too horrible, this time I am certain that I am not a fan.
