The Thursday Murder Club by Richard Osman

adventurous funny mysterious

4.5

charming ! the premise is similar to miss marple and some other agatha christie mysteries, but that’s really where the similarities end. osman’s writing style is really personable, with journal entries interspersed in third person omniscient narration. lots of different crimes threaded together to create a plot that ends up being intricate!! for septuagenarian and cop main characters, there’s a lot of nuance and grey in how everyone is portrayed - not easy to do while still making everyone loveable.
