You Should Sit Down for This: A Memoir about Wine, Life, and Cookies by Tamera Mowry-Housley
2.0
I loved watching Sister, Sister when I was a teen (and recently rewatched it with my teens), and it's funny to realize that Tamara is around my age. I saw this book on the library shelf and grabbed it. I started it immediately and was disappointed. It's very superficial, with a few minor curse words, and the only real depth was toward the end. It also jumped around quite a bit which made it hard to follow. Several things would have made this book better: 1) depth-for example, why she and Adam broke up, not all the details, but at least the issue that caused them to break up. 2) pictures! She describes some things from her childhood and I thought "I would love to see that!"
I wanted to love this book but I don't feel like I learned much about Tamara, and ended up skimming parts toward the end.
