I got this ebook for free and started reading it after starting 4 other books I just couldn't get into. I thought I was about to hit a reading slump, but A Witchy Business by D.S. Butler saved me. It was a light and fun read. I finished it in one day and will definitely be reading the next one. It seems like a blend of the TV show Ghost Whisper and Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum.
Harper Grant is a witch, but not a very good one. Her only magical ability is that she can see and communicate with ghosts. A body bobs up and the town fair and Harper does her best to help the ghost move on by solving the murder, but running around talking to someone who isn't there puts her on the radar of the new handsome police officer.
A Witch Business is a good mystery with some supernatural elements thrown in and a good amount of hilarious bungling from the protagonist. Definitely check it out on Amazon if you want a quick read to get the juices flowing.
