The Beginning of Everything by Robyn Schneider

5.0

This book was more than a character trying to find who he was. This author destroyed all the cliches that authors usually write about, and this is the baby that was born out of it. The words held so much emotion and sentiment that I found it hard to put the book down. This was more than your typical story about with a boy or girl to date the popular kid, and how the popular kids are misunderstood and they're just normal kids trying to fight their inner battles.

This was the opposite of the cliche. Our story begins with Ezra as a kid, or more he explains the back story. Anyway he explaining his friendship with Toby. At one birthday and one incident marks Toby's future. Ezra then begins to hangout with all the right people. He then turns into the golden when Ezra is a teenager, but one night one incident took that away from him, or so he believes. The same night he found out his girlfriend was cheating on him at a party he was in a car accident that hurt his knees. In the same night he lost his girlfriend he also lost the chance to be on the tennis team. All in the summer before his senior year started in the fall.

On the first day back the school held a pep-rally, and Ezra sat on the teacher bench not wanting to hurt his knees to climb the stairs. In comes Toby and gets them kicked out of it. He then begins to befriends Toby and his friends. Enter Cassidy one of Toby's friends, and they begin to help Ezra get out of the sad state he happens to be in. They help him heal through friendship and he finds the real meaning of friendship.

Excellent book, and very well written.
