Everyone Worth Knowing by Lauren Weisberger

Fun, but the characters were not very compelling. The main character was so unconvincing. She didn't seem like someone who would actually exist in real life--an investment banker who lives in a tiny apartment with a yorkie and loves romance novels. She's really good at party planning, but she loves staying in. She doesn't know what a Birkin is, but her best friend of ten years is from a rich New York family and vacations in the Hamptons. ??? Also her uncle is stereotypically gay, but also a rabid Republican. Doesn't make sense.
