I really liked this book!! At first I wasn’t sold on the Winter/Theo combo because of her being fresh out of an abusive marriage and him being a younger, more immature bull rider. What I found really smart, though, was how Silver had them spend time apart before coming back together after the one night they spent together. It was obvious that both characters had matured in that time which I think set them up for success. I liked that a little bit of Winter is in all of us. We all crave being loved but sometimes can feel like someone can’t love us or if they can it’s only temporary. With Theo, he was reassuring and calm with her but also witty and funny which helped Winter develop as a character. Chapters 21 to the end are highly descriptive, as a content warning.
