This book is hilarious and surprisingly raunchy. I'd treat it more as a memoir and less of an informational read, since some of Miyazaki's takes can definitely be read as problematic (there's some biphobia, man-hating, and a not very nuanced conversation on medical transition). But since I don't really know where the Japanese queer community stands on a number of issues, I can't really say how representative these perspectives are of where they are at this point in time, and therefore I don't want to judge the author too harshly. Obviously that doesn't mean that these things shouldn't be called out, but this is a subculture within a very different, often strangely conservative, culture about which I really don't know very much.
Moderate: Biphobia
