Don't judge this book by its cover, the rom-com is only just a part of this book.
Going into it, I definitely didn't expect the depth of this book or the emotions it would bring out of me. We follow Kailyn and Daxton, who had a "meet cute" in Law School but a misunderstanding caused them to fall out of touch for the years after. When Daxton suddenly gains custody of his younger sister after an accident, Kailyn, as his sister's trust lawyer, steps in to help Dax but meetings turn into dinners which turn into more.
I understand that this book wasn't for some people but I really enjoyed the progression of their relationship and also the more serious topics the book delved into. I felt both characters had good development and great chemistry!
