I was so excited for this release and a bit let down. It feels very second book holding pattern to me. What I liked most about Joan in the first book is how active she was but this felt like a lot of things happening to her.
Most notably the two boons that just happen to her, especially the second one. I also like the romance(s) but it feels like these teenagers are being wildly mature in organizing this lol, especially the average elizabethan man? But if they end up a cute little triad I'll be happy.
I'm still excited for the next one.
