House of Earth and Blood by Sarah J. Maas

I loved this book so much. I wanted to read all of the Mass-verse this year. I purposely started this book late so I didn’t have long to simmer over the cliffhanger before book 3 releases. Here’s hoping I can miraculously still finish book 2 before the end of the year and complete that goal, but I’ll at least start it if not!

Bryce and Hunt were so fun to read. And I loved Danika. Honestly was surprised when she was gone, I was sure she’d be a longer-standing character.

The world building and character development in this book is spectacular. I can’t wait to dive in to the next book. You know, this book read like a standalone until the epilogue. It made totally curious about Jesiba. The fandom wiki is calling my name, but I know I must not look!

In true SJM fashion, the last ~100 pages were rough, and there were a lot of tears. Secrets and plot twists, and maybe some confusing moments. But man, it was good. I’m so glad I finally read this book.
