This book isn't something I'd normally read but I rather enjoyed it. I felt that the perspectives on grief were accurate and truthful to the characters. Though I enjoyed the shorter chapters that I felt helped move the story along at a good pace most of the time, I did feel the story slowed and lagged in a couple spots. Overall though, I was into the story and was rooting for the main chapters and hoping they would be able to get their happy ending. I appreciated the struggles the characters went through and bringing things like the impact of losing a child and of the justice system to the forefront. As I noted, this isn't my typical read so I'm not sure I'll seek out more of her books, but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others.
