Exploding Gnomes, Heroes from History and trapped in a video game.... Welcome to Wonderscape.
Ren, Cecily and Arthur are trapped in Wonderscape, an in-reality adventure video game. They must find a way out by completing different levels of the game, each are based on a different hero from time such as Newton, Mary Shelley and Tomoe Gozen. This book is engaging, exciting and feels like a mix of Jumanji with Ready Player One. The characters are fun and we learn a little about each hero as we go as most of the heroes are all real people from history. There is interesting puzzles for the characters to work out and I think its a really great start to a series. Both kids and adults will love to read.
