Daughters of Darkness by L.J. Smith

3.0

Mary-Lynette likes science, and kicks the boy who tries to save her, and kills the boy she likes because he tries to eat her, and protects her brother, and lectures ash on being prejudiced. these books are silly, but they consistently center a girl's story, perspective, and autonomy. and I'm super glad she didn't become a vampire. that would have ruined everything.
