A Harvest of Stars by Cecily Wolfe

5.0

This book took me a long time to read. Not because it wasn't amazing or well written, but because the topic was a little rough. Locklyn is raised in a home where her mother is present physically but not mentally, and her stepfather is abusive in every way he could be. She gets no relief from leaving her home since most of the town dislikes her because her mother was previously considered someone who thought herself better than others.

She does have one person that cares however. Through different points of view and flashbacks, Locklyn and Isaiah's story is told and I am happy that I finally finished it as it was a happy ending.

I also want to note that this book was incredibly well written and impressed me as much as it broke my heart and brought it back together.
