One of my favourite books I've read in a long time and the main character, Elka, has stayed with me ever since. If you like the concept of father-child relations in The Last of Us or The Road, this one's for you.
Written to reflect the muddled accent of Elka, Lewis' writing style is one I've never read before and, while it takes some getting used to, ends up being hugely important in the character development of the protagonist. I don't want to give anything away but, if you love dark thrillers and plot twists, definitely have a read!
