A good sequel to “Six Crimson Cranes” it left on a mostly satisfying ending. Still a very family friendly story, same as the first book. The only thing that left me wanting more was that Shiori did not meet her new niece or nephew at the end. It was implied in the epilogue when it is mentioned that her brothers came to visit her upon her return but we don’t get to read about their reunion or her meeting her new family members included new sister in law and nephew/niece. I felt like it would have been more satisfying to the reader because the brothers became beloved characters and it was stressed in both books that her relationship with her brothers was very important to her.
Moderate: Violence, Blood, Grief, and Injury/Injury detail
