This book focuses on Fable, a lively and fun-loving character who embraces her passion for cosplay while navigating her confusing relationships with four men: Rhett, the beekeeping cowboy; Gunnar, the gentle barn manager; Trent, the shy and broody ranch hand; and Colt, the former cop and a walking red flag. 
 
Fable’s journey also touches on PTSD and disability. Her experience of losing a limb and coping with the loss of her best friend is handled with care.
