One More for Christmas by Sarah Morgan

3.0

Overall Thoughts: The setting of One More for Christmas was so perfect, and I found myself longing for the first snowfall as I was reading this. Sarah did a great job creating a warm and cozy atmosphere that readers could feel transported to, and I wish Kinleven truly existed. I found this to be a festive read that felt fast-paced and was easy to get through.

Characters: As with most Sarah Morgan books, I really enjoyed the cast of characters. I felt that even the smallest of side characters was lovable (Charlotte), but because of that I found myself wanting more of them. I enjoyed the changing perspectives, but I would have liked to hear from the McIntyres. I felt like this was one standalone of Sarah's that I wanted a spin-off series for.

Plot: This wasn't my favorite storyline from Sarah. I suspected the plot twist/reveal and felt that the way in which it was revealed fell a little flat. The plot points I was most interested in were rushed and not explored as deeply as I would have wanted them to be. At times it felt like the book was struggling to choose a focus between the romance and the family dynamic, which I think came from switching character perspectives. Overall I enjoyed reading this story, but I did not enjoy it as much as some of her others.
