Reader’s Notes:

– this is part of a series, but can be read as a stand-alone

– this is told from Gia & Jackson’s points of view

– there is an age gap of about 8 years between them

– both characters’ grandparents passed away recently (within the past few years)

– Jackson’s parents care about money & optics over anything else

Review:

I had so much fun getting to know these characters! Gia and her family had such a great family dynamic together and I loved how much support they had for one another in all their pursuits. I especially loved Gia’s banter with her siblings! They were so funny and I loved how close they were. I also enjoyed getting to know Jackson more! I met him in the last book a little bit and I loved getting a deeper look at the man with a flower farm. I really enjoyed the development of Gia & Jackson’s fake relationship and the matters that happened in order to get them to the point of deciding they needed a fake relationship. I loved that they both went into it expecting to come out of it unattached to each other, but inevitably falling for each other.

Summary:

Gia needed to get away from the glitz and glamour of the country star life to feel like herself for awhile, so she booked herself a vacation glamping in a cute small town. A small town that seems to get a lot more traffic than she expected due to the wedding venue on site that she somehow missed when she made the reservation. Luckily Gia is saved from this misstep by Jackson, a man who treats her like a person rather than a superstar. With his help, she’s able to navigate town with better success in keeping a low profile. But all great things must come to an end…

Jackson knows exactly who Gia is when he spots her and makes himself proud when he’s able to talk to her like a normal human being without stars in his eyes. It’s clear that she’s trying to keep a low profile and Jackson is willing to oblige her that, everyone should be able to get away when they need to. Despite knowing Gia would likely rather be alone than bothered, Jackson can’t seem to keep himself from seeking her out to find out what kind of person she is behind the fame. So when she asks him for a favor, he finds himself agreeing to help her out. Because the favor of pretending to be her boyfriend to keep others away during her time in town means that Jackson will have that much more time set aside for getting to know her. Plus, it will help him out with an unexpected issue he’s had come up as well…
