So I’m finally done with this. Ngl I didn’t expect to take this long to read this book but for some reason it did. That reason: poor writing.

Apart from that I think the female leads character was quite layered and we saw how she was actually girls girl more than anyone. It’s an interesting theme when a mafia Boss with a dark childhood is running her own and keeping men in line while also telling her sisters in law to be stronger and demand nothing but the best from their husbands. Absolute queen. She’s a queen before she married Callahan

Liam is your typical mafia leader alpha male type but he quickly has to go through so much change once he realizes who he’s married to. It was beautiful. Nothing like a wedding night where she stabs or shoots you.

I do feel a series is unnecessary though but oh well let’s see if I’m in the mood for the second book. I think the book could have been just fine as a standalone.
