This was my 1st Lucinda Berry book I listened to. The ending I kept trying to guess was not predictable for me and I was entertained.
This book kinda pushed the boundaries for me, so if self harm and su*c*de are sensitive topics then be warned and check the triggers.
Potential spoiler
I am still in shock by the end, my brain is spinning trying to link the pieces from the beginning of the book to the end wondering when the "disassociation" happened (iykyk).
Ngl, I didn't like Emily for being inconsiderate of Elizabeth's relationships, feelings, and not getting help. I felt it was very selfish of her especially with how the book ended that Emily couldn't fully get the healing as herself. Now finishing the book I'm kind of confused in the right way. I also wonder if her mother or adoptive parents would realize that she was actually Emily especially seeing the scars.
