Along the Saltwise Sea by A. Deborah Baker

4.0

This is a case where the sequel is just as good as the first book.

We continue to get the lovely and whimsical character interactions, as well as more worldbuilding. The world is just as charming, with just the touch of darkness that makes it feel realistic without being so dark it loses the middle grade charm.

I feel even more strongly that this series is like a cozy fantasy version of a Door-world you would find in the Wayward Children series. I'm excited to see how many entries this adventure is going to be.
