I really enjoyed this book! I love a good love story and this ticks all my boxes: j/p and ott unhinged alpha, strong fmc coming from major trauma, revenge, multiple groups of gangs, mafia, Mc. It's slow burn but that works here.
My only real complaints are 2 things: I think this is supposed to be able to b read as a standalone (but part of a duet) but it took me until 60% at least until I understood most of who the characters are (they all have 10 different names they go by!) and what the various groups mean and I just wish that could have been explained a bit more for someone like me who hadn't read any books in this world yet. 2nd, there are some weird editing mistakes that confused me. Most of the time I could figure out what the sentence was supposed to say but other times I could not.
Overall can't wait to read the 2nd book! That cliffhanger!!
